Ali completed a Grade 6 Level in RCM Piano and Advanced Rudiments in RCM Theory. She holds a Bachelor of Arts double majoring in Music & Psychology. Her performance experience include performing with various acapella groups, concert bands, show choirs, and performer in musical productions such as Hairspray, Oliver, Seussical, and Annie. She has always had a passion for performing a variety of genres, especially musical theatre, Jazz, singer/songwriter and composition. She won the Arts and Letter's Composition of the Year Award in NL in 2011. With her second major in psychology, she has researched the connections between music, memory, and well-being throughout her undergraduate degree and she spends her spare time volunteering in hospitals, singing and playing for various patient populations. Music is an amazing therapeutic outlet & she hopes to be able to teach this to her students. She has had 10 years of schooling, 5 years of teaching experience and 12 years of performing/playing experience. Ali enjoys teaching genres such as Classical, Blues, Country, Folk, Pop, Opera, Rock & Jazz to Beginner to Advanced Voice students ages 3+ and Beginner to Intermediate Piano students ages 3+.
Amanda

Amanda holds a Bachelor of Music majoring in Vocal Performance from the University of Calgary and a Master's of Music majoring in Opera from the University of Alberta. Her musical accomplishments include Title Roles in large operas as well as solo performances with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra and the Calgary Civic Symphony. Other notable highlights include working as a Vocal Coach for Central Memorial High School and directing several adult choirs. She has 17 years of musical schooling, 22 years of playing/performance experience, and 15 years of teaching experience. She is strongest in the Classical and Musical Theatre genres, but also lends her technical expertise to Contemporary, Classical, Folk, Inspirational, Pop & Jazz. Amanda believes everyone can make music, so she strives to create a fun and supportive environment when teaching. This is accomplished by giving each of her students a solid technical foundation and allowing them to explore a variety of musical genres. She is a strong vocal technician, particularly good at helping singers develop a large, healthy and supported sound, with great high notes. She can address issues with Vocal Health and Dysfunction as well as Vocal Fatigue. Amanda is a great choice for Beginner Piano students and Beginner to Advanced Vocal students.

Craig was born in Ottawa, Ontario to a musical father, the head arranger of the RCMP Musical Ride. His family then settled to Winnipeg, Manitoba, where Craig began what would turn out to be a lifelong pursuit of professionally performing and teaching music. At the age of eight, Craig started private lessons in both trumpet and piano from some of the top musicians of the time. Before turning his playing interests to jazz studies, he achieved his Grade 8 level through the Royal Conservatory of Music program, and went on to continue his studies at the University of Manitoba. He then advanced his musical skills in the studies of Jazz Arranging, Writing for Orchestra, and Woodwinds and Composing for Film & TV at The Berklee College of Music in Boston.
To date, Craig has been teaching professionally as a clinician in the Calgary and Catholic Board of Education school music programs for 15 years. Some of Craig’s past performances include: The Chai Folk Ensemble (Winnipeg), University of Calgary Jazz Ensemble, The Prime Time Big Band, The Wednesday Night Big Band, and The Fox Big Band. For the past 12 years, Craig has been the Musical Director for the Calgary-based Razzama Jazz Big Band, a 19-piece big band that performs frequently around Calgary. He leads his own jazz trio; he also founded, directs and performs with his nine-piece R&B band, The Eleventh Hour. Some of Craig’s recent projects include composing and arranging music for performance by the aforementioned groups as well as local independent Calgary artists.
Janelle

Janelle completed her Grade 10 Level in RCM Piano and Advanced Rudiments Level in RCM Theory, History & Harmony. She has competed at a number of Kiwanis Festivals and competitions. Janelle’s devotion to the arts is evident in her Bachelor of Contemporary Dance from the University of Calgary. In addition to teaching Piano, she teaches Dance as well as math-dance specialized classes at Telus Spark and uses these teaching tools with her younger students who have a greater use for larger motor skills understanding. She has had a total of 20 years of music instruction, 20 years of playing experience and 10 years of teaching experience. Although Janelle trained primarily in Classical Piano with a strong Royal Conservatory style, she has musical background in Pop, Jazz and Music History. Janelle prefers to teach Beginner to Intermediate students at any age level. This is Janelle’s sixth season teaching at Time Music Studios and she is thrilled to be teaching with such a vibrant team and ambitious students. She is particularly strong with young, high-energy students!

Jennifer holds a Grade 8 Level in RCM Piano and Grade 10 Level in RCM Flute. She also graduated with honours from a Bachelor of Music Degree majoring in Woodwinds. Her musical accomplishments include directing high school and university school bands as well as several community concert bands. She has had 7 years of musical schooling, 20 years of playing experience and 17 years of teaching. Her musical style includes classical, pop, rock and is comfortable teaching all ages and levels. Jennifer is passionate about teaching. It has been her life long dream and she feels honoured to have her passion meet her paycheck. Her greatest desire is to encourage a love for music in all her students.

Krista holds an ARTC Diploma in RCM Piano and Grade 10 in RCM Flute. Although she holds a Bachelor of Science with a double major in French and Zoology from the University of Guelph in Ontario, her love for music won out in the end and she chose a career of teaching music. She brings a high level of professionalism, structure and fun to her lessons. Her extensive list of volunteer experience with child & youth camps as well as her private teaching experience make her an excellent choice for our students. She is skilled at creating trusting relationships with her students, so that they are confident in their learning experience. Krista enjoys teaching beginner to advanced Piano students and Beginner to Intermediate Flute students ages 3+.
Mariyana

Mariyana holds a Grade 9 Level in RCM Piano. Her Bachelor's Degree majoring in Early Childhood Education and minoring in Music Education is evidence of her commitment to teaching. She has had 12 years of professional musical schooling, 12 years of playing experience, and five years of musical teaching experience, although she has spent much longer working in the school education system. She has been a choir accompanist, a church pianist, a choir member and a group-music teacher. Mariyana has also participated in the recordings of two Children’s Music CDs and one Christian Hymnals CD. Although strongest in the Classical genre, Mariyana can adapt to each student's individual needs and goals. She believes that effective teaching includes showing her students how to play, not only explaining how to play, so she keeps her skills sharp. She enjoys teaching Beginner to Intermediate students ages 5 and over. Her many years of working with children of different ages and backgrounds has taught her how to communicate knowledge and skills in a pleasant and effective manner. As a young child, her father exposed her to music and motivated her to study music herself. Her culture and her upbringing played a major role in developing her own passion for music and it is her desire to share that passion of music with her students.

Simone holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Voice & Violin from Ambrose University. Her performance experience range from choirs to orchestras across Calgary and New Zealand as a soloist, trio, quartet and conductor. She has had 20 years of musical learning, 16 year for performance experience and 9 years of teaching experience. Simone enjoys teaching Beginner to Intermediate Voice students and Beginner to Advanced Violin students ages 5 and up in genres such as Classical, Musical Theatre, Opera, Pop & Fiddle Music.

Tanya holds a Grade 5 Level in RCM Voice and a Grade 4 Level in RCM Piano through her Professional Music Degree at Ambrose University of which she is a new graduate. Her musical performance experience includes performing in Kiwanis, the Ambrose Chamber Choir and the National Association Of Teachers Of Singing Music Festival for the last 2 years in which she placed 1st and 2nd in the Musical Theatre category. Tanya has had numerous years of professional music education and 10 years of playing experience. Tanya brings a fresh vivaciousness and passion to musical learning. Classical, Jazz, Pop and Musical Theatre are genres listed in her repertoire. She believes in teaching any music style as long as the techniques are healthy. Tanya teaches Beginner students for Piano, Beginner to Intermediate students for Theory and Beginner to Late Intermediate students for Voice.

Zachary completed the RCM Grade 8 Level in Piano. He also holds a Diploma in Music and Worship Arts majoring in Song Writing from Prairie College. He has performed in multiple music festivals in the piano, guitar and voice categories and has professionally recorded and released 5 original songs. Zac has had 3 years of profession schooling, 2 years of teaching experience and 16 years of playing experience. Armed with a love and passion for motivating students and teaching music, Zac recently moved to Calgary and joined our Time Music Studios team. He enjoys teaching Beginner to Intermediate students genres such as Classical, Folk, Inspirational & Pop, ages 3+.
